With an objective to learn business processes from management perspective, Department of Management, Shrimad Rajchandra Institute of Management and Computer Application- Uka Tarsadia University arranged one day's industrial visit to Vallabh Vidhyanagar, Anand on August 2, 2014. Total 80 students and 6 faculty members participated in this industrial visit. Team reached Amul Dairy plant at 10.00 am and started the journey from Amul museum. After very nice presentation by Amul training staff member, team went in Amul theater whereby they watched Amul story - documentary. At the end the entire team was divided into three groups and visited Amul Plant - Powder making and Butter making Units. The TEAM had very delicious lunch at Amul canteen.
In the second half, TEAM moved to visit Elecon EPC Projects Pvt. Ltd. Trainers at Elecon were ready to welcome our students and faculty members and offered welcome drink - TEA. The entire TEAM was divided into four groups of 20 students each and started visiting plant. Two technical experts oriented our teams to plant visit. They explained each plant, process, materials, requirements, use, management etc. in details. At the end TEAM gathered at a place and had a concluding session for solving queries. Students and faculty members interacted with technical staff and asked valuable questions for their knowledge and career.
It was really a unique & wonderful learning experience for students and staff members of Department of Management !
